About Me Therapy With Tracy Wikander

My practice and waitlist are currently closed to new clients. In 1992, before embarking on my career in the counseling field, I ran a whitewater rafting business with my husband, specializing in multi-day wilderness rafting trips with a workshop focus. I co-led a variety of workshops focusing on couple enrichment, women's empowerment, teen empowerment and family healing. I loved combining personal growth workshops with nature and adventure.  I began my counseling career working at Youth Services with teens and families in 2007. I then moved to Tyler House, a residential drug and alcohol treatment program for teens ages 14-17, as the "House Therapist." I was responsible for the therapeutic tone of the house and co-led the direction of the treatment program. I moved into private practice in 2010 and worked with individuals and couples in Santa Cruz, CA. In 2016, I moved to the gorgeous town of Corvallis, OR to experience more access to wilderness and rivers. 

I have extensive experience in working with a variety of ages from young teens to adults but currently work only with adults. As most therapists, I have a general practice and work with most issues as we are trained to do. I also specialize in working with Couples, Anxiety, Trauma-release thru EMDR and Personal Empowerment. 

In 2014, my husband and I started a new business, Couples Vitality, Fostering Vibrant Relationships, and ran relationship trainings both locally and internationally for couples and individuals for approximately 5 years.

I am blessed to have been with my husband in a working and satisfying relationship since 1992, have raised two children to adulthood and am now enjoying being a grandmother to five grandchildren. My work, education and life experience is rich and varied and I lean on all of these experiences to help me relate to, understand and have compassion for the variety of clients I have the opportunity and honor to work with.
